Porto Bay Falesia

Yesterday I returned from staying at the beautifull Porto Bay Falesia in Albufeira, Portugal.

The hotel was such a lovely hotel, with great facitlities and friendly staff.

I was only staying at the hotel for 2 nights with work as a reward for being an ‘A Performer’

The flight out was good as well with around 45 of us checking in for the flight from Newcastle we had our own dedicated checkin desk and fast track through secuirty at the airport!

The hotel was only around 35mins from Faro Airport which was nice to to be travling for a long period of time to get the hotel.

When we got to the hotel first impressions were good, it was a lovely hotel and clean.

The swimming pool of the hotel also was great as well.

The staff at the hotel were very helpfull and we also had the Thomas Cook Rep’s throught the holiday who were a great help and a big hello and thank you goes out to Hazel, Kelly, Troy and there Gateway Manager Jo!

I am not sure what else to post here but just to say that the hotel was great and that I would highly recomend the hotel to everyone to go and stay at!

Disneyland Paris – 12th October

12th October – Homeward Bound

Well it is our day of returning home sadly :(

This morning we done all our final packing for the journey homewards

After this we then checked out of our hotel and dropped the bags off at the free baggage drop and headed straight over to the Studios.

We managed to get a ride on RNRRC and then see Cinimagique and Motors Stunt Action.

We then joined the que (60min long!) for TOT (David was moaning about 60min que but I got him to que up as it did go down very quick.

After this we had our lunch in the Studios and then headed over to Disney Village to do some lat minute shopping.

At this time we then headed over to the hotel bar to sit in there for about an hour and then collected our bags at 15.20 and sat outside waiting for the bus (the bus was scheduled at 15.50 and David was saying we will go out at 15.45 but good thing we never…)

The VEA Bus for Charles De Gaul turned up at 13.35 (yes early) and there was plenty of seats available so we went and sat at the very back of the coach.

We then had the sad journey leaving Disney to the Airport and it seemed we were getting taken on a very scenic route back going through some villages before the main motorway.

We were at CDG before we knew it and our terminal was the first one to be dropped off!

We then headed straight over to the Check-in for the flight (we were at the airport 4hrs before the flight as left in plenty of time in case of any traffic problems) and dumped our bags off.

After this we headed straight through to the departure gates (luckily we didnt get searched going through security)

We had a look around some of the shops in the Departures Area and I had a sandwich with my last €10 at the airport.

There was still plenty of time to spare so we found some Playstation 3′s in our departure area so we sat and had a play on them before it was time to head down to our gate for the fligt.

The flight boarded on time and then headed onto the aircraft.

It took 15mins taxiing before the flight actually got to the runway (we went around the whole of the airport!

Before we knew it we were crossing the channel and back in England and then even then we were suddenly landing back in Edinburgh Airport.

I got home around 22.30 and after speaking to the parents was then in bed at 23.00!

Free Holiday!

Well coming up on 1st October I will be getting a FREE Holiday from work!

We are going to be staying in Porto Bay Felisia and looks like it will be for 2 nights but better than nothing!

There will be quite a few of us going from work which should be good fun, the reason for this holiday is for the ‘A Performers’ from 2008 of which (I don’t know how!) I was one of them.

From the ‘teaser’ itinerary we got we will for the first day be relaxing by the pool side or if brave enough go swimming in the Sea (its going to be October are you kidding me!) then at night  a black and white themed Gala Dinner on the first night and on the 2nd day we will be going on a day cruise to view the delights of Portugal!

With 4 weeks to go just waiting to see the full details of the holiday and what we will be doing but I am more than sure they will make it a great one and of course I will be sure to take my camara with me to get plenty of picture’s of it!

I am looking forward to this very much and will be nice to put some faces to names of people I have not spoken to in person!
