We Will Rock You Tour Review

Well as I posted not that long ago, I was going to see We Will Rock You on Tour in Edinburgh.

I went to see this yesterday afternoon in the Edinburgh Playhouse!

I could remember some of the show when I went to see it a few years ago in London.

I must say I loved the Tour version and it even had Brenda who was in X Factor a few year’s ago playing Killer Queen and remember Curly from Coronation Street? he was in it as well playing ”Pop’

The show referred to a number of  recent goings on and very well updated!

The show was EVEN better then I had remembered it to be in London now that must be saying something.

The songs all the great ones by Queen were in the show!

I would highly recommend that you go and see this show the Tour version or go and see it on London you will not be disappointed!

We Will Rock You (UK)

A few years ago I took a trip down to Lodon to see We Will Rock You and out of the shows I have seen so far must say it has been the best and is currently in its 7th year of running!

Just the atmosphere from the Audience is great but even better is the Cast and Band in the Show, there is nothing like a live show with the band in the background as wel as live singing.

The show features many songs from Queen which is even better and all the songs in the show I love.

We Will Rock You is showing in London but at the same time is is also on a UK Tour, below is some info on the tour

Now Rockin the UK throughout 2009. Cast includes Ex-Coronation Street star Kevin Kennedy, Jonathan Wilkes, X Factor finalist Brenda Edwards, actress Georgina Hagen, most recently seen in ITV’s Britannia High, and I’d Do Anything reality show contestant Ashley Russell.

We Will Rock You is now playing at Birmingham’s Hippodrome Theatre until 4 Sept. It will then transfer to Bristol Hippodrome from 16 Sep and then Edinburgh Playhouse for a Christmas season from 4 November – 9 January 2010.

Brian May said: “We are excited to be able, finally, to send a brand new top class WWRY company out on tour around the UK. We are completely hands on, and will be visiting! The Mother Ship, in the Dominion Theatre, London, will be rockin’ on all the while, keeping the home fires burning, until further notice!”

Here is some info about the show:

The Story

The time is the future, in a place that was once called Earth. Globalisation is complete! Everywhere, the kids watch the same movies, wear the same fashions and think the same thoughts. It’s a safe, happy, Ga Ga world. Unless you’re a rebel. Unless you want to Rock. On Planet Mall all the musical instruments are banned. The Company Computers generate tunes and everybody downloads them. It is an age of Boy Bands and of Girl Bands. Of Boy and Girl Bands. Of Girl Bands with a couple of boys in them that look like girls anyway. Nothing is left to chance, hits are scheduled years in advance.

Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality. But Resistance is growing. Underneath the gleaming cities, down in the lower depths live the Bohemians. Rebels who believe that there was once a Golden Age when the kids formed their own bands and write their own songs. They call that time, The Rhapsody.

Open your eyes, look up to the skies and see. Legend persists that somewhere on Planet Mall instruments still exist. Somewhere, the mighty axe of a great and hairy guitar god lies buried deep in rock. The Bohemians need a hero to find this axe and draw it from stone. Is the one who calls himself Galileo that man?

He’s just a poor boy. From a poor family. But the Ga Ga Cops are also looking for Galileo and if they get him first they will surely drag him before the Killer Queen and consign him to Oblivion across the Seven Seas of Rhye. Who is Galileo? Where is the Hairy One’s lost axe? Where is the place of living rock?

Anyway the wind blows.
