You know Boxing Day is here when…

Well as you all know, today is Boxing Day, but how do you know when Boxing Day is here, is it because of course its the day after Christmas or perhaps, its because of the large amount of sales that all the companies have online and in-store

Well, having a look around today on the Internet, I thought I would just have a small look online to see what bargains I could find . . . if only it could be as easy as that . . .

Currently with the mayhem here in the UK of online sales, everyone rushing? to get some bargains after Christmas, after they spend all there money they just want to spend more!

It seems some sites can not however, cope with this even though this is something that happens year-after-year when they should perhaps, be more ready.

I thought I would go to PCWorld to have a look online, but it seems their site is far to busy at the moment and just not copping with the demand it currently is facing, causing the website for me and I am sure many others not to load (perhaps everyone has seen the TV adverts being showing and trying to get some bargains)

However, some websites do seem to be handling the higher traffic allot better than others, for example, Comet.

They have come up with a solution, which I think looks great, some may say annoying however! Of making us wait in a queue as you can see from the screen-shot bellow

They currently have a queue system where every 30 seconds, they refresh your page before they let you into the website (this reminds me of when you are on the phone queue waiting to speak to someone but without the annoying music!)

When I have tried later on in the day, it seems PCWorld website are still not having any luck and now greeting users with:

I today have not been out into my local town known it will be far to busy, what are your thoughts of boxing day? are you one of these people who love to go out shopping on boxing day at the start of the sales, perhaps waiting in a queue to get into the shop at very early hours? Or maybe you just don’t like the mayhem of the boxing day sales, and like to spend it at home with your family and friends?

I look forward for hearing your thoughts on this ‘mayhem’ that is created on boxing day.
